As a BMW Workshop Manager you will be at the forefront of the automotive industry, working on some of the most innovative products available on the market and using the latest in diagnostic technology in a state of the art environment.

As a BMW Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for rapid and appropriate maintenance and repair of customers´ cars with consideration for the BMW guidelines and regulations. In addition you are in charge of all personnel decisions regarding your workshop employees.

Reporting to the Dealer Principal you will check all repair and maintenance jobs placed with third parties and ensure that the quality and deadline keeping is correct. You will perform regular internal quality measures and control the workshop staff on the basis of defined key figures.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that repair jobs are carried out completely and correctly

  • Evaluating all repaired cars and assisting in ordering parts

  • Planning the workshop capacity utilization according to productive and available staff

  • Ensuring the quality of your work is of a high standard

  • Giving technical support to your employees

  • Carrying out technical final checks after order processing

  • Conducting regular team meetings to ensure effective communication

You will already be a fully qualified BMW Master Technician and be looking for a new challenge in a new environment. You will be a problem solver with a passion for leading and developing your staff. Ideally you will have previous leadership experience.

 

Specific Skills required

 

  • Due to the nature of the role prior leadership experience in the automotive sector is essential

  • Proven track record of leading a team

  • Fully qualified Master Technician

  • Experience with Premium vehicles is highly regarded

  • Good IT knowledge

  • Team orientation and customer focussed attitude are critical

  • Ability to follow set process

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

  • Good time management skills

  • Comfortable working in a target driven environment

  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Leadership experience is eligible

  • Flexible and stress resistant

  • A current drivers licence
