As a BMW Used Car Sales Manager you will be committed to achieving excellence in everything you do and have the ability to inspire the same from your team. This role will see you leading and developing a team of used cars sales professionals to achieve sustained success through coaching and identifying of training opportunities, planning of daily operations and monitoring of team performance. 

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, you will play a hands on role in training and mentoring your staff, while supporting them in closing used car sales and generating new business. Through supporting the used cars sales team you will maximise the numbers of used cars sold, while ensuring that your customers are delighted with the service they receive.

Responsibilities will  include:

Monitoring and reporting on individual and team used car sales performance

Ensuring customer satisfaction targets are being exceeded

Taking a hands on approach in supporting used car sales executives to meet their targets

Carrying out market and competitor analyses, setting target parameters (e. g. for pricing) and ensure these are implemented

Engaging in active marketing and stock management

Identifying training and development needs and opportunities for your staff

Working closely with the used car sales team to ensure the dealership meets its used car sales target

Specific Skills required


Due to the challenging nature of the role prior leadership experience in the automotive sector is essential

Many years of experience in automobile sales, ideally in the field of used cars and in a management position

Talented communicator and motivator with natural authority, a confident manner and a highly performance-oriented approach

Ability to develop strategies and targets, keeping the big picture in mind when dealing with complex demands and can structure and organize effectively

Proven track record of leading a team to exceed used car sales targets

Experience in coaching, mentoring and developing staff

Ability to evolve and adapt with changing business needs

Possession of a valid driving licence
